Choice enrollment in Falcon School District 49 starts Monday and runs through Feb. 28.

Colorado's choice enrollment allows families to enroll their children in schools outside of the neighborhood in which they live, in order to suit students' needs of individualized programming, learning options and various curriculum emphasis.

The choice window is available for both D-49 residents and non-residents, and requests are considered on a space-available basis.

Applications are now available at www.d49.org. Families can complete the process online and will be notified of student placements in early April.

D-49 has 23 district schools and programs, including three innovation zones of pre-K-12 curriculum, online and alternative programming and homeschool enrichment.

The district has more than 19,000 students and a variety of specialized choices that include a K-12 International Baccalaureate program; career-focused health sciences and finance academies; science, technology, engineering and math labs at all grade levels; and online blended learning.
