RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Collectors of North Carolina art pottery have the chance to let experts examine up to two pieces of their work.

The art pottery roadshow will be held Saturday afternoon at the N.C. Museum of History in Raleigh, where three experts will talk about art pottery, then examine pieces brought to the event. No monetary appraisals will be given.

The experts speaking at the event are: Terry Zug, author of several books about pottery and professor emeritus of folklore and English at UNC-Chapel Hill; A. Everette James, a historian, philanthropist and author; and Steve Compton, author of two books about North Carolina pottery.
