- The American Advertising Federation's Colorado Springs chapter handed out awards Saturday to honor the market's best in advertising efforts and acknowledge community leaders. Judges selected the ad winners from 152 online, broadcast and print entries from agencies, businesses and individuals in the area. Award winners were:
Colorado College, Best of Print award for its "Welcome to Colorado College" book.
Vladimir Jones, Best of Broadcast award for its broadcast/online documentaries for Centura.
UZU Media, Best of Interactive for its own website.
Pikes Peak Community College, Best of Show, for its "Our Stories" Integrated Campaign. It's PPCC's second consecutive win in the category.
Jon Bross, Vladimir Jones, Media Strategist of the Year.
Teri Homick, Colorado Springs Independent, Sales Rep of the Year.
Christopher Schell, Design Rangers, Creative of the Year.
My Favorite Printer, Vendor of the Year.
Evan Pappas, KOAA, Sales Manager of the Year.
Roseanne Gain, Gain + Stovall, Writer of the Year.
Tanya Jeffrey, Colorado Springs Independent, Next Generation (Young Professional).
John Weiss, the Everest Award, for his contributions in bettering Colorado Springs.
Kyle Blakely, the Silver Medal Award, which recognizes a community leader for furthering the advertising industry's standards, creative excellence, and responsibility in areas of social concern.
