Emergency water line repairs will severely impact the intersection of Austin Bluffs Parkway at Stanton Road, adding to motorists who use the busy trafficway near UCCS.

Starting Thursday at 8:30 a.m., through Saturday at 5 p.m., the Stanton Road and Austin Bluffs Parkway intersection is scheduled to be closed, shutting off Access to Stanton Road and Colorado Springs Christian School to and from Austin Bluffs Parkway, the statement read.

One westbound and one eastbound lane will remain open on Austin Bluffs Parkway until the conclusion of the project, on Saturday afternoon, said spokeswoman Tracee Jackson.

According to a statement released from the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority, the repairs are expected to take up to 3 days to complete, weather permitting.

Delays are expected and drivers strongly advised to use alternate routes, accourding to the statement.

For more information on lane closures and repairs, call the project hotline 719-377-2436, or visit the website at www.austinbluffscorridor.com.
