El Paso County sheriff's deputies are asking for help identifying a man who robbed a Domino's Pizza at gunpoint on Dec. 7.

The robbery was reported at 8:09 p.m. at the restaurant at 7376 McLaughlin Road, the Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

The robber, who was captured on surveillance footage, entered the restaurant through the front door, went around the counter and pointed what appeared to be a silver- or chrome-plated semi-automatic handgun at one of the employees, saying, "Don't move," the release says.

He opened the cash register with a pry bar, took out the money and threw the cash drawer on the floor, the release says. He reached down and checked the door of the safe, but it was locked.

Then the robber ran out of the store and was last seen headed north on foot. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a black hooded jacket, gray pants and gray or white converse tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Andrew Thompson at AndrewThompson@elpasoco.com or 520-7238.
