Swap your houseplants and perennial plants for new ones - as long as they're labeled, insect-free and disease-free.

A Public Plant Swap will be held 10 a.m. Aug. 27 at the Colorado State University Extension office, 17 N. Spruce St.

Up to 20 plants can be checked in Aug. 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. or Aug. 27 from 8 to 9:45 a.m. The 20 plants cannot include more than five of one variety, and all swaps will be one-for-one.

Guidelines and printable labels for the plant swap can be found online at elpasoco.colostate.edu. Labels must include the plant's common name, mature size and bloom color, as well as its moisture requirements and whether it requires low light or high light.
