Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC have another scoreless streak going following Saturday’s 1-0 loss at Orange County.
The game’s only goal came in the sixth minute when Aodhan Quinn beat Moise Pouaty from the penalty spot following a Josh Suggs foul.
The Switchbacks created chances, including shots from Suggs and Shane Malcolm in the first half before Orange County cleared a ball off the line in the final minutes to hold on to all three points. Colorado Springs owned a 12-10 edge in shots, while Orange County put four of its attempts on goal compared to three for the visitors.
Malcolm’s header in the first half at Sacramento on April 18 was the team's last goal. More that 200 minutes, including last week's scoreless draw with Seattle, have passed since.
The Switchbacks will look to break up the skid when Reno comes to Weidner Field for a 6 p.m. kickoff Saturday. The Switchbacks beat Reno 4-0 on the road earlier this month.
