Two people were injured during a fight that escalated into a shooting in east Colorado Springs early Friday.
At 1:30 a.m., police said, two people arrived at a local hospital, one with a gunshot wound to the upper chest and another with contusions to the face and head.
The person who was wounded was in serious condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police identified a suspect in the case as Joshua Olivas. He is accused of shooting one of the victims and striking the other with a handgun during the altercation in a parking lot at 400 Lionstone Drive.
Olivas was arrested on suspicion of assault.
