A Cripple Creek man died Monday morning in a roll over crash investigators are still trying to piece together.

Colorado State Patrol confirmed Kyle Fishencord, 24, died in the crash.

Troopers did not release details of the wreck, which happened at 4:05 a.m.

Trooper Nate Reid said investigators were gathering information what caused the driver's 1998 red Pontiac Firebird to roll over and partially eject him.

In a news release, State Patrol said Fishencord's Firebird traveled off the left side of the road, rolling onto its roof in the process.

Officials do not believe Fishencord was wearing his seat belt.

Only one lane of Teller County Road 1 was open from Road 11 to 42 because of the investigation, but all lanes reopened at 8:42 a.m. after the crash was cleared off the road.

Cripple Creek-Victor schools were on a two-hour delay because of the road closures.
