Alcohol was not a factor when a car crashed into a house in northeast Colorado Springs Sunday, but the driver was cited by police.

Melissa Huntley was cited for careless driving and taken to the hospital, along with a female passenger, for minor injuries, Colorado Springs police said.

Someone called 911 about 11:45 p.m. and said a car had crashed into a residence, police said.

According to police reports, Huntley was traveling east on North Carefree Circle about 11:45 p.m. and struck the back of a home on the 5000 block Whip Trail, damaging the house.

No one in the house was injured and police said alcohol was not involved in the wreck.
