Colorado Springs police are investigating two robberies at the same convenience store within days of each other to find out if they're related.

The Diamond Shamrock located at 432 N. Circle Dr., off Platte Avenue, was robbed at gunpoint around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday by an unidentified man demanding money, police said.

The robber got away on foot with an undiclosed amount of money.

The first robbery happened the night of Sept. 9, according to police, and the circumstances were very similar to Tuesday's incident.

Police said the clerk was not harmed, but the robber forced her into a restroom after she gave him cash from the register, then fled on foot.

In both cases the robber concealed his face with a scarf or a bandana, police said.

Anyone with information can call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
