Denver-area man arrested on murder, sexual assault charges in southern Colorado teen's disappearance

A Westminster man has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a 19-year-old woman.

Christopher Adam Waide, 23, is being held in the Adams County Jail in connection with the disappearance of Lea Chali Porter.

Porter was reported missing by her mother on June 5, according to the Westminster Police Department. Porter was last known to be visiting friends in Westminster, police said.

Rene Jackson told the CaƱon City Daily Record her daughter, Lea Porter, most recently was living in Pueblo but had spent the night of June 2 with her boyfriend in Castle Rock. She said the Castle Inn in Castle Rock confirmed that Porter and her boyfriend had checked out of the hotel June 3.

Porter is a former Cotopaxi School student and a 2013 Florence High School graduate.
