Dear Donna: If she's telling you to date others, do so

Dear Donna,

I have been seeing a lady for several months. She told me the first day that she was not looking for a serious relationship and she was going to continue to meet other men. That was fine with me then, but now we spend more and more time together. We have a physical relationship and she still wants to meet other men. She told me I should date other women, but I am not interested in meeting other women. I think she does care for me and we get along great, but this is driving me crazy. How long should I wait?

Dear Waiting,

You already have waited too long. She told you from the first day she was not interested in a serious relationship and apparently that has not changed. You should take her advice and date other women. You also should probably end this relationship so you can be truly emotionally available when you meet other ladies. If she is telling you to date other women, she is not that into you or she meant what she said when she told you that she was not interested in a serious relationship. Most people are exclusive in a relationship once they are intimate.

Dear Donna,

I saw your wall ad and thought you would be a good person to ask for suggestions of where people meet for the first time. I am new to Colorado Springs and just starting to date. - Carol

Dear Carol,

Starbucks is all over the place and very popular for a first meeting, also Panera Bread. The Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center on 30th Street has a great deck that overlooks Garden of the Gods and is especially nice this time of year. First class would be the patio with the fireplace at The Broadmoor.
