The Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region is $10,000 richer thanks to an Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
The money will be used for COPPeR's PeakRadar.com, a cultural calendar of the Pikes Peak region, that serves as free marketing for local arts organizations and artists to promote their events.
"These NEA-supported projects, such as this one to Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region, are good examples of how the arts build stronger and more vibrant communities, improve well-being, prepare our children to succeed and increase the quality of our lives," NEA Chairman Jane Chu said.
The federal government's independent agency supports and funds projects that display artistic excellence. Art Works grants support art projects of the highest standard of excellence, public engagement with diverse art, lifelong learning in the arts and/or strengthening of communities through the arts.
