Two men Colorado Springs police think might have been getting ready to perform a burglary on Halloween were caught before they could commit the crime.

While investigating a report of two suspicious males in a vehicle in the 7600 block of Hickorywood Drive just after noon on Thursday, police discovered that the car, a white Honda Accord was a stolen vehicle. The suspects were nowhere to be seen, though.

When Jonathan Rutjes, 21, returned to the car, police arrested him for aggravated motor vehicle theft, a felony.

The other suspect, Noel Ximenez, 33, lives in the neighborhood, and police found him carrying a backpack containing burglary tools, a wig and an expandable baton. He was arrested him for possession of burglary tools, also a felony.
