An airman assigned to the Air Force Academy's 10th Security Forces Squadron will face court-martial Monday for allegedly sexually assaulting a female airman.

Airman 1st Class Justin Burback had sex with a female airman who was incapable of consenting because she was intoxicated, a fact which Burback knew or should have known, the military alleges in the airman's charge sheet.

The court-marital is slated to continue through Friday, according to the Air Force Judge Advocate General's Corps website.

If convicted, Burback faces a maximum punishment of 30 years in prison, a dishonorable discharge and forfeiture of pay and allowances, an academy spokesman said Friday.
