If you're looking for a scenic way to spend Presidents Day, check out one of the state's national parks.

Temperatures are expected to be mild across the state, and admission won't cost you a dime as visitors will receive free park access Monday in honor of the holiday. However, other fees such as reservations, camping, tours and concessions will be charged.

Florissant Fossil Beds is about a 45-minute drive west of Colorado Springs off U.S. 24. The monument offers 14 miles of hiking trails.

Other fee-free days this year are April 15-16, April 22-23, Aug. 25, Sept. 30 and Nov. 11-12.
