DENVER — The superintendent of a small school district on Colorado's Eastern Plains is accused of having sexual relationships with two juveniles over the course of several years before he was hired this year.
Prosecutors have charged Karval school superintendent Kenneth Cody Weber with seven counts of sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. The 36-year-old was arraigned last week and released from jail after posting bond.
According to court documents, the alleged crimes occurred between 2009 and 2015.
Weber began working as the superintendent in Karval, about 80 miles east of Colorado Springs, in July. KMGH-TV (http://bit.ly/2gYjPWD) reports that Weber taught in Limon before that.
His lawyer didn't return a call seeking comment.
This story has been corrected to change the name of the school district to Karval.
