A Colorado State Patrol trooper's cruiser was hit by a "careless" driver just hours after El Paso County Sheriff's Deputy Micah Flick's funeral Saturday afternoon.

State Patrol tweeted that trooper on Interstate 25 in El Paso County responding to a crash when a driver lost control and spun into the back side of the cruiser. The driver was going too fast for the snowy road conditions, State Patrol said.

Neither the trooper nor the driver were injured.

State Patrol is reminding drivers to slow down in snow conditions and move over to the left lane if a cruiser is pulled over on the shoulder.
