A woman accused of brandishing what looked like a .45 semi-automatic handgun was taken into custody Monday after Colorado Springs police said she threatened to shoot someone with it.

Suzanne Dennis, 56, was arrested at a mobile home on the 3400 block of North El Paso Street after a police investigation stemming from an altercation at El Paso Mini Storage.

According to police, Dennis got into a disagreement with a manager at the storage business around 9:15 a.m. Monday and displayed the handgun, later determined to be a BB gun replica of a .45. The manager told police Dennis threatened to shoot and pointed them in the direction of the mobile home park.

Officers were at a brief standoff with Dennis, who initially refused to come out of the mobile home, but police obtained permission to enter from the homeowner and forced their way in. Dennis was taken into custody without incident and the weapon was recovered at the home, police said.
