Detectives in the Colorado Springs Police Department's Special Vitcim's unit are looking for a man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman Sunday night.

The woman told police she was on her way home, walking near the Ivywild Inn at 1529 S. Nevada Ave. sometime after 10 p.m. when a man in a bright blue pick up truck kidnapped her at gunpoint.

Police believe the man, described as being in his 50s, drove to her to a cabin in Chipita Park, several miles west of Colorado Springs, where he tied her up and sexually assaulted her. After the assault, the woman said she was taken back to the 1500 block of S. Nevada Ave. and released.
