Abodio and Foodu, both of Colorado Springs, advanced Sunday to the June 7 finals of the Go Code Colorado competition, in which teams of entrepreneurs build applications for businesses that use public data.

Abodio is developing a comprehensive database of building codes, zoning laws, ordinances and individual parcel data to streamline the process of planning and building an accessory dwelling unit. Foodu is building a marketplace to help food trucks, venues and consumers connect faster and more easily.

The two teams won finalist slots and $2,500 through the competition at Epicentral Coworking. They will compete against eight others from Denver, Durango, Fort Collins and Grand Junction. All 10 teams will further develop their applications during a Mentorship Weekend April 27-29 in Boulder.
