Three men wearing ski masks jumped over the counter during a robbery Monday at a TCF Bank branch on 4330 North Academy Boulevard, Colorado Springs police said.

The robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of money during the 10:30 a.m. robbery; it was unknown if they displayed a weapon, said police spokeswoman Barbara Miller.

The robbers got away in a dark blue Oldsmobile sedan recovered by police near Morning Sun Avenue and Westwood Boulevard shortly after the robbery, Miller said. The vehicle was reported stolen Sunday.

Grant Elementary School on Westwood Boulevard, about half-a-mile west of the bank, was placed on temporary lockdown as a precautionary measure. No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information can call police at 444-7000.
