A man found dead after a reported shooting at an eastern Colorado Springs apartment complex last week was identified Tuesday, along with his three accused killers.

Colorado Springs police said they've arrested Cortez Lee-Read, 23, Lakela Brasfield, 24, and Austin Boyd, 22, on suspicion of first degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Dionte Amon Harris. Court documents detailing the three's connection to Harris were sealed.

Harris is the city's 12th homicide of the year, police said. At this time last year there had been 13 deaths.

Harris was found dead following a shooting at the Regal Estates apartments, 105 S. Academy Blvd., shortly after 9 p.m. on May 3.

Army records show Harris was a veteran who served as a wheeled vehicle mechanic in 2014 and 2015. He did not deploy during his service, records said.

His mother, reached by phone in his home state of Oklahoma, declined to comment.
