Gazette Premium Content Colorado Springs police searching for man suspected of kidnapping two children

An arrest warrant has been issued for Michael Bobian, 39, on suspicion of second-degree kidnapping after he allegedly refused to return two childen to their mother on Sunday, records show.

The children were located by Colorado Springs police early Monday and returned to their mother, police said.

The mother told police Bobian, her former boyfriend, was supposed to drop off the children at her residence at 3 p.m. after a sleepover, but Bobian called and allegedly said he was not bringing them home, according to police.

After several attempts to contact Bobian, investigators went to his residence on the 3000 block of Illinois Avenue, off East Fillmore Street, at 5 a.m. Monday. Both children were unharmed, police said.

Bobian's girlfriend, Juanita Rosita Gonzalez, 20, was arrested on suspicion of accessory to kidnapping, police said.
