Barry Grossman of Bachman P.R. and Joe Hight, editor of The Gazette, were honored recently by the Public Relations Society of America Pikes Peak Chapter.

Grossman, who has more than 37 years in public relations and marketing, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award (The Pinnacle Award). He has worked in the Colorado Springs community with various organizations and partners, and was the first public relations manager for the Space Foundation.

As a principal of Bachman P.R., he has worked on a variety of transportation-related projects, including the CDOT and Denver Regional Transportation District's T-REX Project and three-year COSMIX Project.

Hight was honored with the Vista Award for community leadership. The award is given to someone who effectively uses public relations tools and practices, but is not in the field of P.R.

Hight has been in journalism as a reporter, editor, managing editor or director for more than 30 years.
