Colorado Springs police say a 13-year-old developmentally disabled girl who was missing Saturday after she became separated from her mother in mid-afternoon while they hiked in Pulpit Rock Park was found about 11 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the girl was found in Pulpit Rock Park by a search-and-rescue team, according to our news partners at KOAA.

The girl, identified by police as Emily Hermenett, became separated from her mother in mid-afternoon while they hiked in Pulpit Rock Park, near Bay Springs Lane and Canyon Springs Place, police said.

An El Paso County Search and Rescue K-9 team looked for the girl, whom police said has Asperger's syndrome and is known to take shelter in sheds, outbuildings and culverts.

Emily went missing in December 2012 while hiking with family near the Cog Railway in Manitou Springs, according to KOAA.
