Two reports of a man offering juveniles money to watch him masturbate on Tuesday have Colorado Springs police on alert and investigating the incidents as solicitation of child prostitution, police said.
High school-age girls reported being approached by a man driving a red four-door pickup truck about 3 p.m. near the area of Meadowland Boulevard and Pearl Drive off North Academy Boulevard, then again 15 minutes later by Pearl Drive and Park Vista Boulevard off Austin Bluffs Parkway, about a half mile east, according to police.
In both cases, the man pulled up to the victims and said he was lost, asking for directions, but the girls refused to help him, police said. The man then asked if the teens wanted to "make some money" and offered them $100 to watch him masturbate.
The man never got out of his vehicle during either incident, police said.
Police did not say which schools the victims attended, but Doherty High School is within about one mile and Russell Middle School is half-a-mile north of where the first teen was approached.
According to police, the case was very similar to an incident previously reported Jan. 10, when a man also tried to entice two 17-year-old girls who were walking to school near Wahsatch Avenue and St. Vrain Street near General William J. Palmer High School.
The victims in that incident told police the man had been driving an older tan colored sedan with Colorado plates.
Police have not identified the man and no arrests have been made.
