Colorado Springs police are requesting the public's help to find a missing adult they say has a traumatic brain injury and needs assistance making decisions.

Michael Portwood, 27, is approximately 5'10'' tall, 155 pounds, with short buzz-cut blonde hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a Bronco's t-shirt, police said.

Portwood reportedly left his care facility on the 1400 block of East Fountain Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. Monday. Police said Portwood has a bird tattoo on his left cheek, tattoos on his neck and a deck of cards tattooed on the back of one his hands.

According to police, Portwood may be trying to find a way back to Georgia, his home state. He did not take any personal items and has no ID in his possession, police said.

Anyone with information can call 444-7000 or Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP (7867).
