Colorado Springs police are investigating whether two stolen vehicle cases could be connected.

Officers recovered two cars that had been reported stolen at a mobile home park on 3100 Wood Ave., off West Fillmore Avenue, shortly after midnight Tuesday, police said.

Two officers saw one of the stolen cars, a blue Acura, pull into the mobile home park and arrested a female driver and a male passenger, police said.

A second car pulled up and left immediately, police said.

Officers pursued the runaway driver but they lost sight of the stolen car long enough for the unidentified driver to ditch the vehicle and flee on foot.

Police and K-9 Unit searched the area but were unable to find anyone connected with the car thefts.

Police did not release the identities of the people arrested.
