A 15-year-old girl reported being approached by a man in a pickup truck Tuesday, but Colorado Springs police said the vehicle and the man described were different from recent reports.

The girl told police she was walking home from Doherty High School on the 3900 block of Iron Horse Trail about 3:45 p.m. when a man driving a white Ford Ranger pickup asked if she needed a ride.

According to police, the man the girl described was different from the driver of a dark red pickup truck that has reportedly approached at least 10 females ranging from ages 12 to 22 in the past three weeks and offered them money to watch him masturbate.
