Police suspect two people broke into a west Colorado Springs marijuana dispensary before fleeing officers on bicycles.

Police heard a man yell "the police are here" while responding to a burglary alarm around 3:15 a.m. Friday at Pure Medical, 2125 Busch Ave., according to the police department's blotter.

Another officer spotted two people riding bicycles four blocks away, police said.

Police found one suspect hiding in a garage a few blocks north of the dispensary by using a police dog, and they detained another in connection with the burglary. Officers also found "abandoned evidence" near the dispensary, police said, but no other details were released.

None of the men were booked into the El Paso County jail early Friday morning, and officers said the investigation is ongoing.
