Colorado Springs police investigate home invasion

A Colorado Springs man told police he answered his front door Monday night when a woman he recognized knocked.

The next thing he knew, he said, two men forced their way into his house, holding a shotgun to his neck.

Colorado Springs Police responded to a call at 3050 E. Fountain Blvd. around 8 p.m. Monday, for a robbery and home invasion.

According to police, two men and a woman took several items and assaulted the resident, causing minor injuries.

The woman was described as approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall, about 200 pounds, with a thick build and black hair, police said.

One of the robbers was believed to be in his early 30s, about 6 feet, 4 inches tall, 230 pounds with a thick build, wearing a gray shirt and black pants. Police said he was carrying a single barrel pump action shotgun with a wooden stock.

The second unidentified man was described in his early 20s, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, wearing a white t-shirt, a black hoodie and black shoes. Police said the three robbers fled in a late 90s model four-door black sedan, with unknown license plates.
