A woman told police her ex-boyfriend had strangled her repeatedly and threatened to kill her Wednesday, according to police reports.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call about 6:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Arrawanna Street, off East Pikes Peak Avenue, police said.

The woman told police she had lost consciousness as the man had strangled her.

When she regained consciousness, she kicked him and managed to escape to a neighbor's house to call for help, police said.

Police did not make any arrests and domestic violence detectives took over the investigation.

Anyone with information can call police at 444-7000.
