A woman told Colorado Springs police that she was able to escape from a man who tried to kidnap her Sunday morning near the intersection of Airport Road and Murray Boulevard, according to police reports.

The woman told police the incident happened about 5 a.m., when a man she allegedly didn't know tried to force her into a vehicle, police said.

The woman ran to a nearby convenience store and was not harmed, police said. The man reportedly fled the area eastbound on Airport Road, and police were not able to find the vehicle.

Anyone with information can call police at 444-7000.
