A Colorado Springs Police dog caught a car theft suspect who was fleeing from officers on foot on Friday morning, according to police.

When officers arrived at the Days Inn Motel on Rusina Road about 9:40 a.m. the suspect, identified as Christopher Marroquin, fled on foot. Police said Marroquin had previously fled from police.

Blitz, the dog, was deployed by a canine officer and caught Marroquin. Police said Marroquin was taken to the Criminal Justice Center.
