Troy Edward Remington, 31, was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of robbery after Colorado Springs police said he and another man robbed a woman and forced her out of a vehicle, then tried to flee from police.
A female victim told police she got a ride from two men, one of them identified as Remington, and they got into a fight that turned physical.
Allegedly, Remington forced her out of the vehicle near the intersection of Stanford Street and Pikes Peak Avenue around 10:52 p.m., driving off with her purse, cell phone and cash.
Police tracked the vehicle to an apartment on the 1600 block of East Woodmen Road, initially being told by a man inside that no one else was home. A few minutes later, a woman came out and told officers there was another man in the apartment, and gave police consent to enter.
Remington then allegedly jumped out of one of the apartment windows and tried to run away.
Remington was taken into custody and booked in the El Paso County jail on suspicion of robbery, held on a $10,000 bond, court records show.
