Colorado Springs police and K-9 units searched for an armed robber who reportedly held up a Subway sandwich shop and got away with the store's cash Wednesday night.

Around 9:40 p.m. a man walked into the Subway on 116 E. Fillmore St. and pointed a handgun at the clerk, demanding money, police said. There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery.

The clerk complied and handed over the register's cash drawer, at which point the robber took off on foot, northbound.

According to police, the robber was wearing a ski mask and was dressed completely in black clothing, so no description was available.

Police responded with K-9 units, but they did not find the robber.
