Terrance Michael Sexton, 19, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault after Colorado Springs police said he injured his 54-year-old father during a fight.

Officers met with Sexton's father at his residence on the 4000 block of Lacy Lane Sunday around 9:20 p.m., when the victim told police his son had assaulted him.

After searching for Sexton more than 24 hours, police caught up with him about 11 p.m. Monday on the 4000 block of Galley Road and took him into custody without incident, police said.

Sexton was booked into the El Paso County jail and held on $10,000 bond, records show.
