A 44-year-old Colorado Springs man died Thursday night after losing control of the motorcycle he was driving.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, Stanley Cooper was driving westbound on Londderry Drive around 6 p.m.when the motorcycle hit a curb and launched Cooper into the air.

Cooper, who troopers said was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was prounced dead at Memorial Hospital.

The State Patrol said it did not appear that alcohol, drugs or speed were factors in the crash.
