Alan Coke, 51, of Colorado Springs, died Sunday in a motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 24 along Trout Creek Pass in Chaffee County, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Coke was driving a 1986 Honda Goldwing about 8 miles east of Johnson Village traveling eastbound shortly before 2 p.m. when his motorcycle went off the right side of the highway and rolled 150 feet down a steep embankment, state patrol said.

Passenger Angie Coke, 44, was thrown from the motorcycle but survived the crash and was taken to a hospital in Salida with serious injuries.

State patrol investigators said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
