Colorado Springs man arrested on suspicion of sexual assault

A Colorado Springs man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a June sexual assault after a DNA analysis connected him to the rape, police said.

Fredrick Hinton, 29, is accused of raping a woman on June 15 at a residence on the 900 block of Acapulco Court, off South Academy Boulevard in east Colorado Springs, police said.

According to Colorado Springs police, the DNA results coupled with the investigation resulted in probable cause to arrest Hinton.
