Colorado Springs man arrested in connection to two burglaries

By Andrea Sinclair Published: April 6, 2014

Colorado Springs police arrested a man Saturday when in connection with burglary cases from March and this month, according to police reports.

David Michael Neese, 39, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary and felony eluding and booked into the El Paso County jail, records show.

A man seen by police riding a green dirt bike about 6 p.m. Saturday near North Carefree Circle and Wilkerson Pass matched the description of a suspect allegedly involved in a burglary reported Friday, police said.

The man, later identified as Neese, took off on a trail when police tried to contact him, but officers were able to ask for back-up patrols and set up a perimeter.

Officers tracked Neese on foot, eventually finding the dirt bike and several items of clothing he had been wearing, police said.

Neese was taken into custody shortly after and the dirt bike had been reported stolen in a storage unit burglary on March 5, police said.
