Cold temperatures are expected to stick around until Friday, meteorologists say, leaving Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region with excellent weekend weather.
The National Weather Service in Pueblo forecast a high of 31 degrees for Friday and 30 degrees Thursday. Winds are expected to pick up Thursday as well, with blustery gusts as high as 30 mph.
The weather service forecast a high of 54 degrees Friday with some milder winds and a high of 58 and 57 degrees, respectively, Saturday and Sunday.
"We'll thaw out in time for the weekend! Highs rebound to the 50s Friday and 50s and 60s for the weekend," Gazette news partner KKTV said. "Overall, dry weather is the story this week. We'll stay mild through the start of next week."
