A perfect way to kick off the week is a special opportunity to appreciate local talent, aspiring young dancers in Sunday performances during "Dance, Dessert and Dreams," a Colorado Springs Dance Theatre tradition.
The dancers are from the area and represent nine dance studios, said Carrie Daines from the Dance Theatre. She explained that works performed were chosen from those submitted to a Dance Theatre committee. That's the dance part of the title, dessert is "absolutely elegant" and dreams are those of the young dancers on stage.
Students of A Time to Dance, The Ballet Society of Colorado Springs, Northridge Dance Center, Brooke Stroud Dance, Ormao Dance Company, Revolution Dance Academy, The Barbara Ellis Studio of Dance, The Springs City Ballet and Zamuel Ballet School will perform.
