Radiant Church, an assembly of God church based on Maizeland Road, will hold a grand opening of its north location at 9:45 a.m. Jan. 12.

The church plans to purchase property and build a facility somewhere along the North Powers Boulevard corridor. Until then, the north campus congregation will meet in rented space at Liberty High School, 8700 Scarborough Drive.

"We've had an increasing number of people commuting from the northern part of the city to our central campus, and we felt it would be beneficial to have a location closer to where they live," lead pastor Todd Hudnall said.

The church has four weekend service times: 6 p.m. Saturdays and 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sundays. Children's ministry and nursery care are provided at every service. Hudnall will travel between the campuses to speak at each service.

Radiant Church has served the Colorado Springs area for 60 years, meeting at its central location, 4020 Maizeland Road, since 1980.
