Century Casinos Inc. announced Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with Regent Seven Seas Cruises to operate casinos aboard the cruise line's Mariner, Navigator and Voyager ships through Dec. 31, 2016.

The Springs-based gaming company also said in a news release that it began "a fleet-wide progressive jackpot" on all eight vessels of Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises throughout 2014. That means certain slot machines on the ships will be linked through the Internet, allowing players to compete for the same jackpot.

Century Casinos believes it is the first gaming company to have a "fleet-wide progressive jackpot in the upper premium cruise industry," the news release says.

Century Casinos is an international casino entertainment company that owns and operates Century Casino & Hotels in Cripple Creek and Central City. It also owns an operates casinos in Canada, and operates casinos aboard 12 luxury cruise vessels and in Europe and Aruba.
