Brother Luck, owner of Four by Brother Luck and a cheftestant on "Top Chef" season 15, still is making Colorado Springs foodies proud. The show, filmed in Colorado, features two Colorado chefs: Luck and Carrie Baird of Bar Dough in Denver.

Luck has had luck (read culinary wizardry) on his side during the first four episodes. The lamb dish prepared for Episode 1, "It'll Take More Than Pot Luck," was declared "most colorful dish."

Episode 2, "Smile and Say Mise," found Luck's among the judges' most-liked dishes for the Quickfire contest.

"Comforting and visually great," the judges said.

The Quickfire winner gets immunity in the elimination challenge and a safe card to stay on the show. Luck didn't get the pass, but he managed to stay in the fight.

Episode 3, "Keep on Truckin," was pure joy for Luck. He won the Quickfire with his soft-boiled, smoked egg version of a Denver omelet.

On Dec. 28, for "Little Tools, Big Challenge," contestants made upscale versions of kid classics using child-sized tools.

Luck hung in through the elimination challenge. He made a stewed chicken and told a moving memory of his father, who passed away early in Luck's life. "Both the story and the flavors were a home run," judges commented.

In the end, he didn't win the challenge, but he wasn't eliminated from the competition. He's safe and will be on Episode 5 at 8 Thursday on Bravo.
