With less than two weeks until, election day, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is set to make his third visit in Colorado Springs as part of a three-state tour.
The running mate to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will be at the Colorado Springs Event Center for a 7 p.m. Wednesday, capping a day of campaigning that includes stops in Reno, Nev., and Salt Lake City.
Trump’s campaigning in Colorado Springs won’t end there, however. His son, Eric Trump, will attend a rally at the El Paso County Republican Headquarters, 205 Sutton Lane. The event is at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. For details, go to gopelpaso.com or call 578-0022.
Democrat Hillary Clinton leads many polls in Colorado, but Utah and Nevada could be key states in the Nov. 8 election. Nevada is considered a tossup, and although Utah traditionally leans Republican, Independent Evan McMullin is polling well in the state. Republicans have won the presidential vote in Utah in every election since 1964, when Lyndon Johnson won the state.
