LONGMONT — Authorities have released the name of a 23-year-old man who was killed in a skateboarding accident in Longmont.

The Boulder County Coroner's Office identified the victim Monday as Brandon Losh, of Longmont. Police say Losh fell off his longboard while riding downhill near the Twin Peaks Golf Course on Friday.

The Longmont Times-Call reports (http://bit.ly/WsMHe3 ) the man, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered head injuries.

Longboards, which can be anywhere from 36 inches to 59 inches long, are common for downhill racing and for general transportation.
